environment.
Easy-to-Use Interface
The AIX 5L release of Web-based System Manager delivers a PC-like look and
feel which, in conjunction with the extensive use of wizards and point and click
selection lists, reduces UNIX skill requirements. It also results in lower user
errors and system administrator training and retraining time. This intuitive,
easy-to-use interface is further enhanced with Overviews. These
provide quick and easy access to the most important status information and frequently
performed tasks.
Network Installation Manager (NIM) and Workload Manager (WLM)
These features provide easy-to-use interfaces which offer quick access to remote
installation and distribution of software (NIM), and system resource allocation
(WLM) functions. Coupled with the advanced information displays in Web-based
System Manager and the dynamically updated Overview pages, it is
easier than ever to manage your environment's software distribution and system
resource allocation.
